Information for households about energy saving and renewables
City of Yarra
Has practical information for residents on its website, particularly about environment (see the sections on Energy and Emissions, Water, Community Gardens, and Recycling and Composting) and sustainable design.
The Alternative Technology Association’s website, Renew has a number of useful sections listed under ‘Categories’ on the home page.
Beyond Zero Emissions’s Energy Freedom program has some basic information on its site, with more comprehensive information if you sign up to the program. BZE has also produced a Buildings Plan that contains practical information for households on pages 34-37 and 58-138.
Your Home is the Australian Government’s guide to environmentally sustainable homes.
Specialises in assisting apartment owners and occupants to save energy in your apartment block’s common areas.
Yarra Energy Foundation
In addition to their main website, YEF also has a site for its Project Zero campaign to achieve zero emissions from stationary energy in Yarra by 2020. Yarra Energy Foundation is a supporter of Livewell Clusters and we urge you to sign up to Project Zero.
